Tactical Operators Course Overview

The overall goal of this training program is to provide students with the skills required to effectively function as members of waterborne response teams (WRTs) and/or Security Zone Protection Units (SZPUs) in the maritime environment.

Airboat Operators Course Overview

The Airboat Operators Course, will provide local federal, state, local, tribal, and military personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively and safely operate airboat platforms. This course will enhance the safety, prevention and response capabilities within a region, as graduates will be able to integrate seamlessly with their partners on the water and provide a true force-multiplier when rescue or enforcement operations are required.

Armed Ship Boarding Course Overview

The Armed Ship Boarding Course will provide officers and military personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform armed tactical techniques on deep draft commercial ships in a safe and effective manner. This course will enhance the safety, prevention and response capabilities, as graduates will be able to integrate seamlessly with local, state or federal partners on the water and provide a true force-multiplier.

Pursuit and STOP (Standard Tactics for Over-the-Rail Procedures) Course Overview

The Pursuit and STOP curriculum provides a course of instruction to give maritime law enforcement officers the knowledge and skills necessary to perform pursuits of Non-Compliant Vessels in a safe, efficient and effective manner, and in accordance with Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection and Department of Homeland Security standards and policies and stop those individuals on the water who attempt to evade and elude lawful interdiction orders.

Vessel Boarding, Search and Seizure Course Overview

The Vessel Boarding, Search and Seizure Course, will provide local state, federal and military personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform proper boarding and search techniques on deep draft commercial ships in a safe and effective manner. In support of multiple missions to protect a nation’s maritime borders, this course will enhance the safety, prevention and response capabilities within a region, as graduates will be able to integrate seamlessly with their partners on the water and provide a true force-multiplier.

Enhanced Vessel Operator Course Overview

The Enhanced Vessel Operators Course will provide local federal, state, local, tribal, and military personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively function in high risk maritime operations. At the conclusion of this course, students will have a basic understanding of how to safely perform various tactical methods for use during vessel intercepts, boardings, and pursuits.

Boat Crew Member Course Overview

The BOAT Crew Member (BCM) Course, as part of the entire Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) Program, was created to establish a national standard of training, qualification, credentialing and typing of emergency responders throughout the maritime domain. It is the purpose of this course to establish basic understanding of maritime rescue operations, and provide the skills necessary to execute missions safely. Secondly, and equally as important, it is the purpose of this course and the entire BOAT Program, to enhance the safety and response capabilities throughout the country, as graduates will be able to provide a true force-multiplier to the United States and it's protective agencies.
